Glenn Athey has been the Director of the Regional Intelligence Centre for the East of England since February 2008 and has worked in economic development and research since 1998. Previous to his current role, he worked as Head of Research at the Centre for Cities; Acting Head of Business Policy at London Development Agency; Senior labour market economist at Futureskills Scotland, Scottish Enterprise; and as an economic consultant.
Glenn holds a Ph.D. from the Department of Urban Studies, University of Glasgow; a Masters Degree in European Political Economy from the Department of Politics and International Studies from the University of Hull; and a BA in Geography and Economics from the University of Hull.
